About Gisele Pitot

Gisele hails from the sunny shores of South Africa, where she was born and raised on a small vegetable farm. She graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2005 and worked in the local magazine industry as a writer for nearly 3 years. She’s adventured to through Africa, taught English in Korea, looked after kids in France and Australia and is now continuing her adventure in Hawaii. Gisele will continue to put her journalism skills to good use as she attempts to document the history of Surfing The Nations.
