Surfers Leadership School (SLS) is a three-month program designed to better equip our new staff members as they enter into their commitment to serve with Surfing The Nations. Each student will discover their unique strengths of leadership, team building, and how they can impact their community most effectively. The program includes class discussions, guest speakers, student-led events, adventure training and trips, homework and an apprenticeship within one of STN’s departments.
Surfing The Nations, an out-of-the-box, humanitarian organization integrates interactive learning and practical application through our Surfers Leadership School. Within the STN ohana and on various outreaches, SLS students are challenged to a lifetime of adventure, growth and servant leadership. Character development is the core to the SLS curriculum as STN prepares individuals to creatively serve, both locally and internationally.
PREREQUISITE FOR SLS
- Graduate from the STN Internship
- Minimum One-year commitment with Surfing The Nations
- Application Fee: $50
- Three-month SLS Program: $2100
- Staff Fee: $110 / month (begin payments post SLS graduation)
*Non-refundable deposit of $200 due within 14 days upon receipt of acceptance letter to confirm your spot; remaining $1900 due before arrival.
