“WAHIAWA IS AWESOME!”

Surfing The Nations is thrilled to announce and invite you to our new headquarters in the heart of Wahiawa, the gateway to the North Shore.

In December of 2008 STN purchased a neighborhood bar and a 15 unit apartment building. It is a historic property from which STN will make history. The “Bar” as it is call by STN is located at 63 Kamehameha Highway. It was built in the late 1930’s and hit in the Pearl Harbor invasion of December 7, 1941. Over 30,000 vehicles drive by STN’s new home each day going to and from the North Shore.

The apartment building that houses the STN staff and interns is a bit newer being built in the early 1960’s. The apartment is in back of the bar with the address of 64 ‘Ohai Street. ‘Ohai Street is notorious for drugs, violence, sex and alcohol. STN is committed to make a difference.

Wahiawa has the busy Kamehameha Hwy running through the center of town with the main cross street of California that carries much of the business and daily mix of life. Everything you need can be found within a few miles.

STN is stoked to be a part of the Wahiawa community; to be a positive influence and a helping hand through practical events and service.

The “BAR” – the Vision

The vision for the “Bar” is a coffee shop community center where young and old, rich or poor, homeless or working, happy or sad, living through the good or bad feel welcomed and comfortable. Having quality coffee, tea, and pastries with an amazing ambience of Hawaiian culture, surfing, and art decorating our walls and tables. The “Bar” will be a place where all are welcomed in an alcohol, tobacco, and drug free area that is exciting and enjoyable.

THE STN OHANA

Surfing The Nations recognizes the importance of ‘ohana (family). Our own ‘ohana is a mix from Hawai’i, mainland U.S., and various countries around the world that have come together to serve Wahiawa and the Hawaiian islands.
