SURFERS LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Surfers Leadership School (SLS) is a three-month program designed to better equip our new staff members as they enter into their commitment to serve with Surfing The Nations. Each student will discover their unique strengths of leadership, team building, and how they can impact their community most effectively. The program involves class discussions, guest speakers, teamwork activities, event planning, and an apprenticeship within STN. Homework is expected and will be applied to daily responsibilities.

MISSION

STN, an out-of-the-box, humanitarian organization integrates faith, interactive learning and practical application through our SLS program. Within the STN ‘Ohana and on various outreaches, STN challenges SLS students to a lifetime of adventure, growth and servant leadership. Character Development is the core to the SLS curriculum as STN prepares individuals to creatively serve, both locally and internationally.

PREREQUISITE FOR STAFF

• Graduate from the Internship
• One-year commitment with Surfing The Nations

COST

• Three-month SLS Program: $800
• Application and Acceptance Fee: $50
• Staff Fee*: $100/month

*$1,200 required in full or as committed support upon arrival

2012 SCHEDULE

• Winter Semester: January 5 – April 9th
• Spring Semester: April 19th – July22nd
• Fall Semester: September 13th – December 16th
